In order for this command to work, you need to have the '-debug' launch option added to the game in Steam. After doing this, all you need to do is enter a simple console command to spawn units, this is explained below.

The command that is used to spawn units in HOI4 is the spawn command. Its syntax is as follows:

spawn [unit name/id] [province id] [amount]

What do these parameters mean? That's explained in the table below!

So, to spawn 1 Support Anti-Tank (anti_tank) in the province with ID 4367, you'd type:

spawn anti_tank 4367 1

You could change that to 300 Support Anti-Tanks with the below command:

spawn anti_tank 4367 300

Basic Templates

20 width infantry template. Later on you should upgrade this one to 40 width.

10 width anti-tank template. You should have this template behind the frontline. This is a monster when comes to destroying tanks.

Military Police Template. Once you will be in an offensive war, you will most likely get “resistance to the occupation” which in the worst case could destroy several factories in certain states. Therefor this template is perfect for dealing with resistance.

Types of tanks explanation

– Light tanks are good for speed

– Medium Tanks have are a combination between a light and a heavy tank. Therefor it has good speed and good armor.

– Heavy tanks have a lot of armor and breakthrough. These types of tanks are perfect to pierce well-entrenched areas such as Maginot Line

Armored/Tank Templates

40 width armored template. This is a basic tank template. You can either do 20 width or 40 width, but i usually recommend 40width. You can also change the type of tanks. You can go for either light,medium or heavy tanks.

40 width amored anti-air / anti-infantry template. This template is a lifesaver. If you know that the enemy will have a big airwing you should defenetly use this template as the AA Tanks should kill most of the enemy’s planes. In terms of power you have lot of breakthrough,armor and piercing. This is also what i usually use.

Advanced Templates

This might look crazy,but it works really good trust me. This is a 50 width infantry template perfect for countries with a high population such as China and British Raj. The idea of this template is to not let the enemy recover/organize and to keep attacking him. You can either use support artilery or support anti-tank.
